In the mountains, in the steppe, in the desert. Traditional art of Transcaucasia, Central Asia and Kazakhstan

November 19 at 4 pm in the exhibition hall of the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. Inauguration of the joint exhibition project of the State Museum of Oriental Art (Moscow), the Museum of Ancient Belarusian Culture of the National Academy of Sciences (Belarus) and the Voronezh Regional Art Museum will be held. I. N. Kramskoy. The event will be held within the framework of the Voronezh program – the cultural capital of the CIS.

The exhibition “In the mountains, steppes, in the desert” will introduce Voronezh residents and guests of the city with the best examples of traditional art of the 19th and 20th centuries created by the masters of Transcaucasia, Central Asia and Kazakhstan from the collection of the State Museum of Oriental Art. The exposition presents more than eighty items for everyday use: jewelery, weapons, copper and pottery, details of clothing, embroidery, carpets and felts created by the masters of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
