In the Voronezh Regional Art Museum. I.N. Kramskoy, July 23 at 12.00 will be the opening of the exhibition “Summer is a small life.”

The exhibition begins the academic painting of artists of the late XIX – n. XX centuries. Represented by artists such as MM. Zaitsev, V.D. Orlovsky.

In the works of artists of the 20 – 30-ies. XX century, there are characteristic methods of painting avant-garde period (VN Vakidin, VV Tarasenko)

In the postwar years, painting seems to us the happiness of a man of the socialist era filled with happiness (DG Chersky, VI Prager)

Most of the exposition is occupied by the works of Voronezh artists, many already in the pre-war years were members of the partnership “Artist” and “Union of Artists”, but the work of most of them was interrupted by the war. The concept of “post-war syndrome”, which justifies civil passivity, was not there.

Many of them returned from the front to their native places, to its nature. Hence the summer in the works of Russian artists imbued with the harmony of warmth and fragrance of greenery. One can feel how the summer landscapes are filled with refreshing moisture after a warm rain, in the colors of the splendor of Russian nature. In the presented works, it is practically possible to feel the summer and breathe.

Writing landscapes, still lifes, portraits (MI Likhachev, Yu.P. Dyakov, AP Eremenko), in the works impressionistic freshness of the letter is felt and momentary impression of the moment (VV Belopolsky, ZE Popov). Artists sought to create an image of the typical and universally significant (YF Vnodchenko, MI Likhachev, KN Uspenskaya).

Along with Voronezh artists you can see other famous authors (GG Korolev, ZI Zatsepina, VS Sorokin and others).

The exposition is represented by works from the museum’s funds.

The exhibition will last until August 30.

The ticket price is 150 rub. – adult, 100 r. – preferential.
